The World Through My Shoes is my look at living this incredible gift God has given us. As a busy wife, mother and daughter I relish the alone time I receive on my early morning runs. It is in the stillness of those predawn mornings where I often am inspired. Thank you for taking the time to read my words.

The Day Begins

What?  Oh.
The alarm.
Off. OFF!
It's so dark.
And cold.
Brush my teeth.
Get dressed.
Running shoes.
Slide open door.
Darkness.
No moon.
No rain!
Bazillion stars.
Wow.
Start watch.
Running slowly.
Sleepy.
Shiver.
So cold.
Running easy.
Heavy legs.
Last night's workout.
Ouch.
Feel slow.
Running slow.
Praying.
Incredibly thankful.
Shooting star!
WOW!!
Owl screeches.
Looking.
Can't see him.
Running.
More shooting stars!
Mesmerized.
Rooster crows.
No sun.
Lying rooster.
Chilly air.
Wide awake.
Senses alive.
Running.
Feels good.
Mr. Neighbor driving.
Wave.
And smile.
Still running.
Cold Northeast wind.
Winter's here.
Where's fall?
Shooting star!
Run is over.
Stop watch.
Water.
Walk.  Breathe.
Grateful.
Gorgeous morning.
Thank you Jesus!
Back door.
Quietly open.
The day begins.
